Remediation Action Plans and Options Appraisal
We have developed a comprehensive remediation design service to satisfy legislative requirements. We provide method statements and remediation action plans for:
- the cleanup of contaminated sites;
- groundwater quality improvement schemes (including the use of quantitative risk assessment and groundwater modelling procedures); and
- passive and active ventilation systems for buildings constructed on gassing sites.
We have substantial experience in the investigation and remediation of former industrial and commercial sites including fuel filling stations, disused gasworks and landfills.
Remediation Supervision and Completion (Validation) Reporting
Working closely with ground workers and the regulatory authorities we offer ongoing advice on environmental protection during construction, including site inspections, monitoring and validation testing of remediation, together with the preparation of remediation validation (completion) reports.
Our proactive approach ensures regulatory approval and sign off whilst minimising cost and delay to the client.
Legislation Guidance and Advice
We have a thorough understanding of current environmental legislation and best practice. We ensure that good communication with the regulatory authorities (Environment Agency and Local Authorities and NHBC) is maintained throughout site remediation and development works.
Waste Management and Disposal
We regularly attend site to sample soils for waste acceptance criteria testing. We can also help with the design of Site Waste Management Plans – a regulatory requirement for construction sites to maintain since April 2008.
Soils and Groundwater Insitu and Exsitu Remediation Techniques
With the removal of land fill tax exemptions for contaminated soils on development sites as of December 2008, and the landfill tax increasing each year, there is an ever growing need and financial benefit for reducing the amount of waste sent from construction sites for off site disposal.
Working with specialist remediation contractors we are able to offer a complete range of in situ and ex situ remediation advice and site services.
